Life Saving Equipment at RSC

I am delighted to let you know that we have been able to relocate our club defibrillator to a new external location in a purpose built, temperature controlled, secure cabinet. Prior to this, our defibrillator had been stored in the club house but following some discussion on the matter, committee recognised there was some issues with this in the event of an emergency, and decided that investing in a more dynamic solution was in the best interest of every member. Funded by donations to the club, the new unit was commissioned by RET electrical last week, and is now ready for use if it were ever to be required.

The cabinet has been installed on the wall facing the boat park and contains our club defibrillator along with both adult and child pads, as well as immediate first aid equipment required in the event of a heart attack. We have registered the unit with Yorkshire Ambulance Service so that in the event of a local emergency, Ripon SC could play it's part in any first aid required.

I urge you to take note of the new location and have a look over the cabinet so you are aware of how it works, though it remains my fervent hope that we never have to use it.
