Ripon Sailing Club's GDPR Summary

Ripon Sailing Club is required comply with GDPR and a small team have been working closely with the RYA's Legal team to make sure that we comply with the regulations.

The data which we hold regarding our members is necessary to enable us to deliver our 'contract' with you, i.e. to facilitate your membership. Our SCM package allows you to view the data held on that system and we are using the SCM system as our data collection point. Much work has gone on behind the scenes deleting old files 'held in case' or 'long ago forgotten' and we've created a mountain of shredding as we seriously considered just what we need to know and how that information will be held and managed going forward.

Viewing Your Data and Keeping it up to Date

Members have access to the data held on them and can view this via the SCM system. We ask you to help us by keeping that data up to date - for instance if you have a change of address, telephone number or email. If you have forgotten your log in or password please get in touch with our Membership Secretary who can arrange for a new login to be sent to you (membership@ripon-sc.org.uk).

Please take the time now to go in to the system and check that the information there is correct.

Our Data Privacy Policy

Our DPP can be found on our website and will be held there and updated as and when necessary. If you have any questions about the DPP please contact our Systems Manager (systems@ripon-sc.org.uk).
