John Rintoul
Members will be sad to hear that John Rintoul died earlier this week in Harrogate District Hospital. John was a keen Streaker sailors, racing a boat that he built himself andwas a founder member of the Wagalers group that race on a Wednesday afternoons. Towards the end of his long dinghy racing career he decided that it was time that he tried a different class of boat and bought one of the earliest Solution dinghies.

Bart's Bash Sunday 15th September - The results!
Dear Bart's Bash Supporters and Sailors, On behalf of the Trustees and Beneficiaries of the Andrew Simpson Foundation, I'd like to take this opportunity to thank you for taking part in Bart's Bash 2024 and helping to raise an incredible £8,878 ! That is enough to fund 254 charitable watersports sessions for young people all over the country, who otherwise wouldn't have the chance to do this.

Otley Sailing Club 6th November - An Evening with Heather Thomas, Skipper of 'Maiden'!
Otley SC are busy raising funds to buy 2 new Access boats. They have 2 months in which to raise £7500 which will then be match funded by Sport England. Regional Y&J Team Racing 21 & 22 September
We are looking forward to hosting this event. It is always a fantastic fun atmosphere and we hope lots of members will come down to cheer #teamripon on. We have nearly 90 sailors participating. Fleet Trophies Day - 7th July
Sunday 7th July is our Fleet Trophies day. There will be trophies for the following classes: Laser/ILCA, Streaker, Mirror, Solo, Enterprise, Topper, Supernova and the All Comer's Trophy for anyone else.
