Working Parties
We have 2 Members' working parties coming up. The first will be on Saturday 10 January from 1000-1500. There will be a full list of jobs (some indoors) posted on the day. It is likely to include: moving boats on the boat park, painting the interior of the race hut, replacing the race hut railing, window cleaning exterior and interior, and tidying the marker storage hut. The one scheduled for 11 January is cancelled.

Happy New Year!
Officers wanted! As yet we have no nominees for the roles of either Sailing Secretary or Treasurer for election at the AGM on 25 th January. Do you know someone who might do either role for a year, possibly as part of a team to spread the work? If so then please check with them to see if they would help run the Club and let us know. Club Christmas meal 14th December in Clubhouse
We need 50 firm bookings for the Christmas lunch on 14 December by this Friday 5 December or else we will need to cancel the event. So, if you are planning to come now is the time to book please. Food is being provided by Harrogate Food and Drink Co, who did a fabulous spread for us last year. It is a three-course meal with a vegetarian option. As

NEYYSA Team Racing 20/21st September - What a Weekend!
Over the weekend of 20th/21st September two Ripon SC teams took part in the NEYYSA North Region youth & junior team racing championship. The event was sailed in RS Fevas with two boats in each team. ROTTERS 1 (the Red team) had two experienced youth helms (Christopher H and Oscar T) with three junior crews (Wesley, Ray and Henry) as sailors under 11 are allowed to share a team place. National 12 and Double-Hander Open 4th & 5th October
We will be holding our annual National 12 Open Meeting on Saturday 4th October. In addition, we will be adding an open event for double-handers, to start after the N12s. The event will carry over to Sunday 5th October, when visitors will be invited to join in the normal Sunday series racing. They, and any RSC members who entered on Saturday, will have their results pulled out from Sunday's racing to give a separate score

Summer Working Party -Sunday 24th August 10.00 - 17.00
Members are asked to support at least one working party each year to help maintain the Club's premises. We have a number of jobs to do which are best done in the better weather, so please come along if you can and help us to keep the club looking at its best.

Sailing Forum - Sunday 13th July 15.00 - 17.00(ish)
We have brought forward the Sailing Forum, normally held later in the year, to Sunday 13th July, to be held after racing, from approximately 15.00. We have introduced some new concepts this year, from Saturday sailing, to revised fleet make-ups for the major series, three duty requirements, rerturn to 'standard' start times, etc.. Sunday 6th July - Fleet Trophies Day
Sunday 6th July is our Fleet Trophies day. There will be trophies for the following classes: Laser/ILCA, Streaker, Mirror, Solo, Enterprise, Topper, Supernova and the All Comer's Trophy for anyone else. There is a minumum of three boats required per class to qualify for a trophy race. Lower numbers than this will be included in the All Comers Fleet. RYA staff visit RSC
On Wednesday 11th June we were visited by Sara Sutcliffe, the RYA CEO, and Adam McGovern, the RYA North Regional Manager. They enjoyed meeting some members and tried their hand at RC yachting. They were impressed with our facilities on a lovely sunny day. The fact that the RC yachts were in action was highly appropriate because Ripon SC were a finalist in this year's RYA Together on Water awards based on a submission
