    We have recently registered Ripon SC with the NHS Test and Trace service so that members can scan the QR on site should they wish to.     Local Restrictions and RSC

    Committee are aware that areas around Ripon Sailing Club are now facing some increased local lock down measures. These additional measures prohibit households from meeting in their houses and gardens. The measures also urge residents of these areas not to socialise in other venues with people they do not live with.     Sailing Format Update

    An email has been sent to members this morning (25/09) detailing changes to the sailing format for the rest of the season, please see the extract below; Sailing Format Following a virtual meeting of the COVID working group on Wednesday 23rd September, and ratification subsequently by the Committee, we have agreed to make some changes to the sailing format for the remainder of the season.

    New Bench For The Point

    The club is delighted and very touched to receive this lovely bench for the point, in memory of two members who enjoyed spending time sitting there watching their families sail on the lake. Elizabeth Clement (Liz) and Diana Shepherd did a lot for the club when they were members and are sadly missed by family & friends. Their families & friends gathered today to enjoy the racing from this new vantage point

    Access Control

    *Club access* Work has started today to replace the old access control system. The initial phase within the club building will see replacement locks on the kitchen and bar doors, as well as on the main sliding door. A temporary key code will be emailed out to members later this evening. Going forward, we will be replacing the system at the gate and arranging replacement key cards (yes, we can do them

    Barbara Darling - Funeral Arrangements

    Barbara Darling

    The club is sad to announce the death of Honorary member Barbara Darling on 4 July after a short battle with cancer. Born in Corbridge in 1937, Barbara spent her early childhood in North Yorkshire and Northumberland and obtained a scholarship for a Stockton girls' school before going to Alnwick Teacher Training College to become a secondary school maths teacher. Jobs in Ripon and Manchester allowed her to enjoy her love of hockey
