Thinking of Joining?
We welcome members throughout the year, and do not have a waiting list. Membership is easy to apply for - click on the 'Join' button at the top right of the screen to start the process then 'Create an Account' (at the bottom left) and send your details through. Once the Membership Secretary receives the application she will email you an invitation to join, with an invoice for the fees due - make sure you check your 'Spam' if the invoice doesn't arrive within 7 days. Once you've settled your invoice you can apply for an access credential via a smart app on your mobile phone to allow you to access the club building and grounds at any time. Fees for 2023/2024 are as follows (please note ages are as at the start of the membership year i.e. 1 November). Reduced annual fees are payable from June to October, with reductions on a sliding scale to take account of the number of months of the current membership year there are left to run. The full joining fee is payable throughout the membership year (1 November to 31 October). If you have any questions about membership please email the Membership Secretary. We encourage all potential members to come to the club and see us 'in action' - Saturdays and Sundays are a great time to find out more about what we do, but please do pre-arrange these visits to ensure someone will be available to show you around.
PLEASE NOTE THAT THE FEES BELOW APPLY FROM 1 NOVEMBER 2023. PRO-RATA ADJUSTMENTS WILL BE MADE IF JOINING FROM 1 JUNE 2024 ONWARDS.

|Reciprocal (a full member of Yorkshire Dales SC, Yeadon SC, Yorkshire Ouse SC or Derwent Reservoir SC who wishes to take out membership at Ripon SC in addition to their home club membership). The terms are the same as those offered by the 'home club', e.g. YDSC offer RSC members the chance to reciprocate for 1 year and this is the basis for their members joining RSC. No berths are offered for this type of membership and no duties apply.
We are a club run by members for members, and have no paid staff. In joining the club we hope you will help us continue this ethos, and will contribute through undertaking duties at the club and coming along to our working parties. We also hope you will enjoy and support the wide range of social activities which we run - and help us identify new opportunities for club activities. It is YOUR club, and we need to know what our members want from it.
If you already have a dinghy please contact the Membership Secretary to let them know the type of boat you own. We encourage members to select and sail boats which are appropriate for our water and have a length restriction of 15ft imposed by our lease. Whilst members who own boats are allowed to windsurf in line with our bylaws, we are unable to offer paddle boarding or canoeing on the water.
Please read the club rules and bylaws before making your application, in applying to join you are acknowledging that you will comply with these, and your acceptance that the club obtains and retains personal data to enable us to deliver our membership contract with you.
