Thinking of Joining?

We welcome members throughout the year, and do not have a waiting list. Membership is easy to apply for - click on the 'Join' button at the top right of the screen to start the process then 'Create an Account' (at the bottom left) and send your details through. Once the Membership Secretary receives the application they will email you an invitation to join, with an invoice for the fees due - make sure you check your 'Spam' if the invoice doesn't arrive within 7 days. Once you've settled your invoice you can apply for access credentials to enable entry to the club building and grounds. Fees for 2025/2026 are as follows (please note ages are as at the start of the membership year i.e. 1 November). Reduced (pro-rata) fees are payable from June to October. The full joining fee is payable throughout the membership year (1 November to 31 October). If you have any questions about membership please email the Membership Secretary. We encourage all potential members to come to the club and see us 'in action' - Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays are a great time to find out more about what we do, but please do pre-arrange these visits to ensure someone will be available to show you around.

NEW MEMBERS WITH NO BOAT ARE NOW ABLE TO APPLY FOR £60 REIMBURSEMENT OF BOAT HIRE/TRAINING FEES IN THEIR FIRST YEAR. (£60 PER MEMBERSHIP).

PLEASE NOTE THAT THE FEES BELOW APPLY FROM 1 NOVEMBER 2025. PRO-RATA ADJUSTMENTS WILL BE MADE IF JOINING FROM 1 JUNE 2026 ONWARDS.

We are a club run by members for members and have no paid staff. In joining the club we hope you will help us continue this ethos and will contribute through undertaking duties at the club and coming along to our occasional working parties. We hope you will enjoy and support a range of social activities - and help us identify new club activities. It is YOUR club, and we need to know what members want from it.

If you are joining and already have a dinghy please contact the Membership Secretary to let them know the type of boat you would like to bring to the club. We have a length restriction on dinghies (imposed by our lease) of 15ft/4.5m and must ensure new members choose dinghies appropriate for our water. Members who own boats are allowed to windsurf (recognising that our lake isn't particularly suited to windsurfing!) within the limits of our bylaws, however we are unable to allow paddle boards or canoes access.

Please read the attached Constitution, which contains the club rules and bylaws, before making your application. In applying to join you are acknowledging that you will comply with our rules and you accept that the club will obtain and retain appropriate personal data to enable us to generate/maintain your membership.

RSC is a registered CASC and has arrangements in place for those who find the cost of membership a significant obstacle to membership. Please refer to the Ripon Sailing Club Affordable Membership Policy for details.
