About
Ripon Sailing Club was formed in 1957 and has been a busy and thriving club ever since.
The club is an RYA Teaching Establishment, and offers a wide range of dinghy and powerboat related courses to it’s members. The family friendly nature of the club, a key value of the founder members, is also recognised by our RYA status. Club members are able to enjoy access to the facilities 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and there’s a packed programme of on and off the water activities. Racing takes place on Wednesday afternoons and evenings throughout the summer, and on Sundays all year round. There is also a programme of coaching which runs on Saturdays and Sundays designed to help new sailors keep learning after they have completed their training course. In the winter we run a series of talks and practical training sessions with a sailing theme.
The club is also home to an active fleet of Dragon Force 65 and IOM remote control yachts, if you would like to find out more about racing remote control yachts at Ripon, you can email rcyachts@ripon-sc.org.uk
