Powerboat Familiarisation/Skills Refresher Session

This very basic course is aimed to provide members with the skills required to be able to safely launch, drive and recover the powerboats. Taught by our Powerboat Instructors, all of whom are experienced powered craft users, the course generally runs on the first Thursday of each month from May to September, with an extra course at the end of April. We expect all our Safety Boat Operators (SBO duty) to have attended this course in the last 2 years. Courses can be run outside the 'Thursday evening' sessions as required. The course takes about 2.5 hours and involves being out and about on the water for the majority of the time. Bookings can be made via the 'Bookables' section of the website, places are limited to 3 per instructor to ensure we can provide enough practical experience for each participant.
