Club success in bid to trust

We are very happy to say that Ripon Sailing Club has been able to acquire two new RS Feva XL dinghies, with the support of the Eric Twiname trust. These boats will allow us to offer lots more double handed sailing opportunities to our Youth & Junior sailors next season. RS Feva XLs are double handers with asymmetric spinnakers, designed to be sailed by two teenagers or by an adult and a child and are the same boats that were used at the recent NEYYSA team racing championships. As well as giving our ROTTERS more opportunities to practice for future team racing events, the new boats will be used to offer some of our more experienced Youth & Junior sailors additional RYA courses, including Stage 4 and Sailing with Spinnakers.
To help fund the new boats our ROTTERS are planning to carry out a Sponsored Sail at their next training session on Saturday 1st November, splitting the money raised between the Yorkshire Air Ambulance and the purchase of the new boats.
