Dear Bart's Bash Supporters and Sailors,
On behalf of the Trustees and Beneficiaries of the Andrew Simpson Foundation, I'd like to take this opportunity to thank you for taking part in Bart's Bash 2024 and helping to raise an incredible £8,878!
That is enough to fund 254 charitable watersports sessions for young people all over the country, who otherwise wouldn't have the chance to do this.
The Andrew Simpson Foundation is continuing the legacy of Andrew "Bart" Simpson, an Olympic Champion and America's Cup Sailor who tragically died in 2013. Andrew passionately believed that everyone should have the chance to try sailing and enjoy the many benefits that it brings.
Since the first Bart's Bash in 2013, the global sailing community has turned up in its thousands in support. To date Bart's Bash has taken part across 63 countries, with over 23,500 boats at over 1,105 venues!
Absolutely everything the Foundation does is driven by our belief that all young people have the ability to excel and succeed in life and work. We believe that the challenges of Sailing and Watersports do this by promoting health and well-being whilst also building essential life skills. We provide opportunities for everyone to get out on the water. We do this by delivering a range of key charitable activities which include Bart's Bash, Community Sailing Programmes and Research.
The support we receive from donors like yourself is vital for the success of the Foundation and we truly appreciate your support especially during these challenging and uncertain times.
