Aspiring Dinghy Instructor Induction Day

For any club member, including Juniors who are 16yrs or approaching 16yrs, who would like to work towards becoming a RYA qualified Dinghy Instructor.

Come along and find out the pre-requisite skills and qualifications needed. Our Senior Instructor team will help you work towards the Dinghy Instructor qualification.

This induction day is for any adult or Junior age 16yrs+ or a junior who will be 16yrs this year. (Aspiring DI’s should be 16yrs when they attend a RYA DI course)

Find out the opportunities we offer to support you to become a qualified Dinghy Instructor.
Find out what qualifications you need before joining a DI course.
Find out what sailing skills are needed to pass the pre-assessment day before a DI course.
Find out how we run our RYA learn to sail courses.
Find out how to rig/ reef the club boats and where we store all the equipment.
Volunteer to help us at our 2026 RYA courses to gain valuable experience.
