COMMODORE'S WEEKEND AND PRIZE-GIVING Saturday 8th & Sunday 9th June 2024

With less than two weeks to go until Commodore's Weekend I felt it was time to let the members know exactly what to expect from the weekend.
Camping will be available on the field from the Friday night throughout the weekend, subject to weather - we are due a high this weekend which will hopefully dry the field out. Please check the website for updates.
Commodore's weekend kicks off at 10.30 on the Saturday with a briefing. As last year I have decided to run separate races for Juniors (under 18 on the day) and Seniors, largely to let the juniors have their own races and to encourage the less experienced sailors to take part.
Club boats are available to hire throughout the weekend and can be booked via the club website.

18.00 Commodore's Hog Roast
Roast pork, stuffing, apple sauce served on a bread roll, salads, coleslaws,or chilli veggie option, various delicious puddings. Please follow link to book.

Of the six races the best four results will count in both fleets.
As well as the two cups I will split the entrants into bronze, silver and gold fleets at my discretion and the results for these fleets will be 'pulled' from the overall results.
I really hope you are able to attend, this will be a GREAT weekend whether you are sailing or not, with loads going on and a good opportunity to meet up and get to know your fellow members, particularly if you are new to the club.
Food for the evening meal needs to pre-ordered by 6pm on 4th June. Tickets are £6 per junior and £12 per adult . All provided by Pool Farm Catering. Please book online here.
