Drowning

Club Members who suffer trauma or lose consciousness whilst in the vicinity of the water

Club Rules require all Members afloat to wear personal flotation devices, whether sailing or on the jetties. Safety boat cover provided to effect rescues if emergency services not attending.

Being unable to return to the launching shore

Club Members who are afloat

The lake is bounded on all sides by banks which are accessible and can be used to escape. In most cases the safety boat would make a rescue.

Serious Injury

Club Members either afloat or ashore

A first aid station is provided in the main clubroom. There is a telephone in the main room which is accessible and can be used to make emergency calls. Members hold first aid qualifications. They are listed by the first aid station.
