    26th July RYA Level 1 course

    Ripon Sailing Club's latest Level 1 and Stage 1 sailors. Despite really strong winds on Day 1 and light winds coming from every direction on Day 2, everyone had a great time and successfully passed their first RYA awards. Well done everyone and a big thank you to the volunteer instructor/helper team. We look forward to seeing you all back at the sailing club later in the season to continue your sailing skills development

  • Youth & Junior Open Meeting - Saturday 23 April 2022

    We're looking forward to hosting the first round of the North East & Yorkshire Youth Traveller series at the club on Saturday 23 April. Over 45 boats have entered so it promises to be a great day. As is our custom when holding open meetings, the water is closed for leisure sailing during the racing. You are welcome to leisure sail before 10am and after 4pm on Saturday. Why

  • Easter weekend camping

    The committee has assessed the field and regrettably found the conditions to be too wet to allow access. Hardstanding will be still be available alongside the club, but please note that there will be no access to the grassed areas for turning or pitching tents.

    Icicle Series 1&2 Cancelled

    Icicle Series 1&2 cancelled Regrettably, Icicle series 1 and 2 which were scheduled for tomorrow (6th Feb 2022) have had to be cancelled. This decision has not been taken lightly and is based on the forecast high wind strength, wind chill factor, as well as the last minute unavailability of the Race Officer due to Covid.   • Storm Arwen Damage Report

    Storm Arwen has been reasonably kind to RSC. Members were on site today and whilst a few boats have been blown over there are no reports of major damage. The building and grounds are not in need of any urgent attention and whilst a few things need to be looked at they are not deemed dangerous or high priority. Committee will inspect the boat park in more detail tomorrow. Members
