Duty Roster Goes Live!

Published 15:54 on 11 Jan 2019

RSC 2019 DUTIES ARE NOW OPEN FOR VOLUNTEERING

We have now finalised the 2019 event calendar and this can be viewed on the RSC website at: Calendar.

Alongside this we have set up all the relevant duties for each event along with the start and end times of the duty. As a members club we expect each member to undertake 2 or more duties at the club in a season relevant to their expertise. For family members this is applies to each individual in the membership who is over the age of 16 on 1 January of the year in question. We aim to allow members to volunteer for duties between now and the end of January 2019. After this time the remaining duties will be assigned to members who have not volunteered by then.

Please take the time to log into the RSC website the member portal, go to the duty roster and 'volunteer' for those duties that work best for you. You should select a duty type that matches what you have done in the past, e.g. If you have undertaken Race Officer duties then please only consider those duties in 2019, and if you typically support club events on Saturdays then consider Saturday duties if that helps you. etc. Note that this year we will NOT be using the old 'Dutyman' system so please do not try to log into that system, but go directly to the RSC web site and login to the member portal.

Please note that to undertake Safety Boat Officer you need to either hold a PB2 certificate or have attended the Safety Boat Familiarisation training. This does not apply to the Assistant Safety Boat Officer although we do encourage the Safety Boat Familiarisation training for this role too. SBF courses run through the summer months and are shown in the calendar. Free of charge, they provide basic skills training to enable you to launch, drive and recover the safety boats.
